Precision-Engineered Irrigation Design

System Design & Engineering

Our engineering team provides complete irrigation system design services using hydraulic analysis, soil profiling, evapotranspiration data, and water district requirements. We produce permit-ready drawings and specifications that field crews can build from — or that you can put out to bid.

Overview

A system design is only as useful as its precision. Generic irrigation designs that ignore hydraulic realities, soil infiltration rates, or local water district requirements create expensive problems after installation. Our designs are built around real data.

We perform hydraulic pressure-loss calculations for every zone, accounting for elevation changes, pipe size transitions, and worst-case demand scenarios. Zone precipitation rates are matched to soil infiltration rates to prevent runoff and waterlogging. Scheduling is designed around Texas ET data for the specific climate zone of the property.

Our deliverables are permit-ready. We produce CAD drawings that meet Texas municipal permit requirements, hydraulic calculation documentation, water budget worksheets, and smart controller integration specifications. Whether you're building from our drawings or putting the project out to bid, contractors have everything they need.

What's Included

  • Hydraulic pressure and flow calculations for every zone
  • ET-based scheduling design for Texas climate conditions
  • CAD drawings meeting Texas municipal permit requirements
  • Water budget compliance documentation
  • Smart controller integration planning
  • Soil infiltration and precipitation rate matching

Best for

Architects, civil engineers, general contractors, and property developers

How We Do It

A defined process that produces consistent, documented results on every project.

01

Site Data Collection

We collect topographic data, soil type mapping, plant material inventory, water supply pressure readings, and a review of any applicable water district restrictions or permit requirements.

02

Hydraulic Analysis

Pressure-loss calculations for every pipe segment and zone, worst-case demand analysis, and verification that the water supply can support the system as designed.

03

Zone & Head Layout

Zone boundaries, head placement, and coverage design based on plant and soil requirements — not just square footage. We target precipitation rate uniformity above 80% DU.

04

2-Wire Path Design

Decoder path routing, decoder addressing plan, and controller integration specification for your chosen 2-wire platform.

05

Drawing Production

CAD plan drawings, pipe sizing schedules, head specifications, controller wiring diagrams, and permit application documentation.

06

Delivery & Support

Complete drawing package delivered in digital and print formats. We support the permitting process and answer contractor questions during bidding and construction.

Who This Service Is For

  • New commercial construction projects
  • Large HOA and master-planned communities
  • Golf course development
  • Municipal and government facilities
  • University and campus development
  • Healthcare facility construction

Common Questions

Can I use your design with a different installation contractor?

Yes. Our design package is complete and permit-ready. Any licensed commercial irrigation contractor can build from our drawings. Many property developers and GCs hire us for design only and bid the installation separately.

Do your designs specify a particular 2-wire platform?

We'll recommend a platform based on your zone count, feature requirements, and budget, but designs can be adapted to any major 2-wire platform. We'll note platform-specific requirements where they affect the design.

How long does the design process take?

Small to mid-scale commercial designs (50–150 zones) typically take 3–5 weeks from data collection to final deliverables. Large or complex projects — golf courses, large campuses — may take 8–12 weeks.

What if conditions change during construction?

We provide RFI support during construction and issue revised drawings if site conditions require design changes.
